Why Should You Consider A Business Coach?

People often ask themselves, what is a business coach? Should I have a business coach? What’s the point of a business coach? How can they help my business?

Last week we sat down with Michelle Najduch who is a business coach here in Winnipeg, Manitoba! Michelle answered our questions while providing all businesses an insight of why they should consider hiring a business coach this year!

Did you miss the conversation? No problem!

Michelle provided us with a some reasons why you should consider a business coach in your business. See below!

  1. Expertise - Let’s say you’re a dietitian. You spent 4+ years in school studying nutrition and have been working in the industry for another 3 years. You’ve spent 7 years learning, practicing, and adding 100s of tools to your dietitian toolbelt to become an expert at what you do. Now, you want to open your own practice and become a business owner. That requires a completely separate set of tools, all you have is a hammer. Working with a business coach grants you access to 100s of critical marketing, sales and business strategy tools, you don’t even know exist, that can make the difference between $100 and $10,000 a month.

  2. They will help you go farther faster - When you’re a business owner. You wear a lot of different hats. Service provider, CEO, Accountant, Marketing Manager, Janitor, Sales Person, maybe even a few more! Especially when you’re a service provider, it’s easy to let the things that aren’t urgent, like learning marketing strategy to grow your business, fall to the wayside. A good business coach will:

    1. Teach you the skills and strategy you need to grow your business

    2. Hold you accountable to taking the actions you need to to grow.

  3. Opportunity Cost - Opportunity cost is the number of clients or dollars missed out on because you didn’t actively choose growth. You don’t know what you don’t know, you can’t open doors you don’t know are there. By choosing not to invest the $2,000 into a business coach who can see and open those doors for you, you’re missing out on the $10,000, $20,000 even $30,000 and beyond you could have made in making that 2K investment. There’s more risk in NOT working with a business coach, than having one on your team.
