Self-care for Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs typically pride themselves on working long hours and barely leaving their  desks. Often work becomes the priority and things like our social lives and self-care take a bit of a back seat.

We’ve found some strategies entrepreneurs can use to continue to keep balance in their lives and still work just have efficiently.

Learn to say no

In this day and age, we feel we need to fill every minute of every day with something. We keep ourselves incredibly busy and then wonder why we’re overwhelmed. If you’re a people pleaser this is one of the hardest things you’ll have to learn, start saying no.

By saying no to things you free up time to work on a project that engages you and leaves you feeling more energized or gives you the time and space to take care of yourself physically and mentally.

Find a hobby

Finding time for play in life is so important! Whether it’s baking, gaming, or knitting, doing something away from your work is so beneficial. It stops burnout from happening and gives our minds a rest. Having an outlet to get your mind off work will leave you feeling so much more energized and focused when it is time to get things done.

Take care of your body

Staying healthy physically plays a huge role in how we live and work. Being active and eating healthy are challenges everyone faces, time and energy are hard to come by. Making time for a walk, run, or a bit of yoga/stretching is so beneficial for your body!

The food we eat is what we fuel our bodies with. Cooking healthy meals every night isn’t something we all have time for but there are alternatives, companies like Hello Fresh and Good Food have prepped meals delivered to you for easy and nourishing food!

Hopefully, you found some of these tips and strategies useful to better take care of yourself physically and mentally!
