Experience the New Way to Work
Boring grey cubicles and drab furniture will simply no longer do. This pandemic has opened many people's minds to a different way of work that doesn’t include a tiresome 10 year lease in some deafening office. With company revenue being spent up to 20% on rent, large firms are realizing that cutting expenses is one of the many benefits that come with a coworking space.
For a large firm allowing their members to work through a coworking space opens the door to several possibilities. For example when lacking expertise in a new area that is being ventured, a coworker could simply ask one of their community members for advice. This allows a firm representative to build a network around themselves that ultimately helps the firm. Furthermore workers often benefit from a like minded community. This sense of community will not just be benefit in the future but will become a necessity.
With the new generation coming into the workforce, the dynamic of work will have to change if large firms wish to keep their employees. Generation Z cares more about community and making a social impact than contributing to an unethical company. When conducting surveys of business students, researchers found that the majority of students planned to start their own business that prioritizes corporate social responsibility.
Entrepreneurs are responsible for 60-80% of new jobs.. In other words where people work and who people work for are changing. The benefits of working for a large corporation have become less rewarding and more superficial. As more people ditch large corporations more entrepreneurs begin their journey and the more coworking spaces are needed.
One could argue that people could just work from home. But for larger firms this restrains the building of co-worker relationships and corporate culture. For the new generation coming into the workforce 72% prefer face to face communication. For entrepreneurs, staying at home limits their creativity, efficiency, and sense of community, which is what allows an entrepreneur to thrive. Some things are simply just better in person.
TableSpace is at the frontier of this new way of work. Work is changing, how will you?
