Lucy Brandes (MACP, C.C.C) - Member Feature

Lucy is a psychotherapist and the sole practitioner at Lucy Brandes Counselling & Consulting. She works primarily with individuals 16 years old and up and specializes in the treatment of complex and developmental trauma. Her primary areas of focus are on attachment, inner-child work, and the processing of trauma held in the body using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Lucy's approach is governed by curiosity and a belief that everyone is sacred and inherently good—that they’re doing the best they can with what they have. She has been working in caregiving and community support since 2009.

The people Lucy serves most identify somewhere on the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum, and as a gay woman feels proud to have a therapy practice where queer people are the majority for once.

When she's not working as a therapist you can either find Lucy with her family, which includes her two kids, or volunteering in the community
