December StartUp Series Recap

This past Monday, TableSpace Coworking hosted our first StartUp Series event! After the pandemic restrictions, ever-changing situations, we were thrilled to get back to hosting networking events with other entrepreneurs.

TableSpace had the privilege of hosting three Winnipeg Local businesses including, Made To Grow Project, Michaela Smart Brows, and Jillian Leigh Jewelry. These companies have started their businesses here in Winnipeg from the ground up. They each wanted to follow their passion and make an impact on the people they serve daily!

Our attendees became inspired by this networking event and took away the following tips for all Winnipeg entrepreneurs!

Tip #1: Be Passionate About What You Do!

The first tip we want to share with you all today from our fellow speakers is being passionate about what you do! When you have drive followed by passion in your work, your clients, yourself, and everyone else around you will feel the impact and a huge difference. A majority of the reason we believe entrepreneurship is so incredible is people's passion for their businesses. When you are selling and sharing your love with others, people will buy into what you're selling and become interested in knowing your story and why you started the business you did.

Tip #2: Find A Community You Enjoy!

Doing business alone is never fun and can often feel scary. That's why we highly recommend finding a community you feel welcome to, pushing you to be your best, and supporting you 100% in what you do! By having a community, you will feel and see a massive difference in your business.

Tip #3: Share Your Story!

Whether online, at markets, in meetings or when you're pitching your business, sharing your story behind how you started your business is something people love and look forward to. Everyone has a reason for wanting to become an entrepreneur; for some, it might be freedom, others it might be to make an impact on others, or even to try an idea you've been thinking about for the longest time! Everyone wants, but more importantly, needs to hear your story no matter what your reason or report is. So, with that said, the next time someone is interested in your business, tell them why you started!

And with that, that is our three tips for our first StartUp Series event! Thank you to everyone who came out! Thank you to Sherry and Nancy behind Made To Grow, Jillian and Velia from Jillian Leigh Jewelry, and Michaela behind Michaela Smart Brows.

You are all inspiring individuals, and we enjoyed having you a part of our community for the evening!
